Like Karen & Patti, I've over-complicated stories in an attempt to fill every possible plot hole, and have found that it takes work to keep it simple. We fear the work of rewriting the entire thing, so we cram it full of multiple motives and details. The simpler the plot, the less chance of a monstrous hole to fix. A good thing to remember whenever we begin plotting the next story.Camille Eidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11223707343003289521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6360410252358941163.post-29545997140406642262014-05-26T07:22:52.919-07:002014-05-26T07:22:52.919-07:00I'm with Karen. My work in progress has a clear desire, a nasty antagonist who says bad words (I'm getting crazy, I know), and only half a dozen true characters. It's a new way of structuring a story for me, but I like the pacing of the story. Thanks for stopping by, Jim. This is rich stuff.<br />Patti Hillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01210807015376289703noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6360410252358941163.post-36893430603909642702014-05-26T05:06:41.725-07:002014-05-26T05:06:41.725-07:00Excellent.
