Or just wander off the path altogether.
Work can be very rewarding, even when it's hard. People are reading more than ever - just possibly in a different form. Learning to 'sell' stretches some of us, and doesn't it feel good to stretch? You probably say the 'same thing' differently. There is controversy about how many actual plots there are, but the consensus is it's a finite number. So we're creative about getting our stories out there.
You get the picture. I only wish some book reviewers I've read would keep it in mind!
Susie, I think the 'lone wolf' gets more prominent the longer we write. We get a little experience under our belts, a little confidence, and we slink off from the pack to go it alone. One of the greatest tools I have as a writer is my critique group. I also have a dear and gentle friend who stock piles red pens. She went page by page with my first novel, explaining each edit. When you find that kind of editing friend, keep them!Susie Finkbeinerhttp://www.susiefinkbeiner.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6360410252358941163.post-53260620329871506132012-03-21T06:15:29.794-07:002012-03-21T06:15:29.794-07:00Always such wisdom here!
