The Christy Awards, 2009

The results are just in (They haven't even cleared the tables yet), and the Christy Award winners for 2009 have been announced. We at Novel Matters send our applause and congratulations to all of the winners, who are listed below.

But before we give you the list, may we just say, WAHOO! for our very own Debbie Fuller Thomas who was a finalist in the Contemporary Standalone category. Here she is, dressed to the nines, with her finalist medallion. We are so immensely proud of her. Please feel free to leave a comment, and give our Debbie a cyber-hug.

Is she gorgeous, or what?

That Debbie was classy the whole night. We are so proud of her and know that just as Tuesday Night at the Blue Moon is getting recognized for its stellar qualities -- her new one, Raising Rain, will knock your socks off!

Hurray for such a wonderful writer, our own Debbie Thomas!

Congratulations, Debbie. Since this biz is so subjective, you must've won a lot of hearts with your writing. Good for you!

Congratulations Debbie!

I'm always happy to get the new Christy list. Good reads ahead. I've already read Dogwood and Until We Reach Home, both of which I enjoyed.

Another wonderful book is In Search of Eden, by Linda Nichols. I've been back east on a visit with family, and took it along for the ride. I'm nearly finished, and excited to have "discovered" Linda. Can't wait to read more of her stories.

Thanks to you wonderful ladies! It was my first time at the Christy Awards so I felt like a deer in the headlights, but it was fun - especially sitting with Latayne and Patti.

We are so blessed in the Christian market with authors who are humble and genuinely care about the successes of others, and that was evident this entire weekend from the awards night to ICRS.
